It's 2024... Let's Make The Most Of It!!!!
Meeting In Christian Education!
The Church MICE are a youth group of the Southern region of Ontario, who get together and discuss a variety of different topics in the safe environment of each others company.
We provide a safe space for youth from all sorts of backgrounds, with all sorts of questions, to come together and be in community with one another. This is also a safe space for youth in the LGBTQ+ community to come and participate, judgement free.
Activities include movie nights, game nights, outdoor hikes, scavenger hunts, and so much more. The youth sometimes travel to other cities for conferences and special services, which gives them the chance to meet a wider community of youth all focusing on their own spiritual growth.
We offer two different age ranges. The teenagers, which range in ages from 13 - 18, meet on Thursday evenings from 6-8pm. For the 2023 - 2024 year, we will be focusing on the theme "Ministering In New Ways." Scroll down to learn more about this theme.
The second group is the young adults, which range in ages from 19-25, and they meet every on a specialty schedule that can be found below. For the 2023-2024 year, they will be discussing the theme of "Learning How We Learn." Scroll down to learn more about this theme.

Ministering In New Ways
When Jesus came into the world, he didn't do things the way they were 'supposed' to be done. He went out and did things his own way, spreading his message in ways that made people stop, think and believe.
This years program gives each participant the chance to colour outside the lines, and share the stories in ways that make sense to them. Together we will create, beginning with music videos of songs that speak to us and leading forwards into whatever speaks to us.
We minister to those around us by seeking them where they are at.
Learning How We Learn
Every person learns differently, thinks different questions, and comes to different revelations. During his ministry, Jesus did his best to reach out to all people, and so was always trying new ways to teach.
This years program will give each participant a chance to study themselves, and consider how they interact best with the bible and it's teachings. Together, we will learn new ways to encourage others to learn as well, and participate in ways of learning that are different than we've ever experienced before.
We minister to those around us by first ministering to ourselves.

Do you have something you would like to share in an interview for the church? Let me know and we can schedule a date to work together!
Moving forward, we will also be beginning an "Intergenerational Dialogue" series between the youth and some of the older generations of the church, to discuss the different ways that the church has evolved. Keep checking back for info on that!

Following the Hero's Call
God calls each of us along our own journeys. Those journey's can be hard, and sometimes we try hard not to go through with it. But following the call set out for us is important.
Meet with us as we discuss the meaning of following your call by watching every movie of the MCU, in order. Beginning with Iron Man (2008) and going all the way to Endgame (2019).
We will find ourselves through the challenges of others.

Identifying Your Call
We often look at the bible, and other stories, to discuss the call of the characters. This program gives us the chance to delve into what our own, personal calls might be in the world.
Meet with us as we discuss ourselves and our impact on the world around us through program creation, excursions and activities.
We find ourselves through community with others.
